Thank you for inquiring about Young People’s
Day Camp Of Middlesex / Union County.
I am a parent, licensed teacher and assistant
director of Young People’s Day Camp for ten
years. I
fully understand a parent’s desire to give your
child the safest and best opportunity
at the most affordable price.
As we enter upon our 36th summer of operation, we
are excited about offering our kids a safe and fun-filled
summer. All our information is provided below with
frequently asked questions.
How qualified is your staff?
At Young People’s Day Camp, safety is our top
priority. We have licensed teachers, administrators
and college students certified by the Red Cross in
CPR and first aid. A full time nurse is always at
camp and certified lifeguards supervise our aquatics
program. Our camper to counselor ratio is 8 to1 (Less
for our nursery division).
What
activities will my child engage in?
Our campers participate in a variety of activities
including swimming, martial arts, gymnastics, dance,
art, drama, music, nature and more.
What
trips will my child attend?
Our trips will include, * Medieval Times, * Bow craft
Amusement Park, Blue Claws baseball game, Fun mania,
mini golf, Liberty Science Center, Jenkinson’s
Aquarium, Sandy Hook Beach, Fun time America, Turtle
Back Zoo, bowling, roller skating and the movies.
Are
there any special events?
Our special events include a camp carnival, talent
and magic show, sloppy Olympics, tie dye, day of beauty,
pizza, Italian ice, ice cream, McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts,
barbeques and much more.
What
about swimming?
Our campers swim in a beautiful Olympic size swimming
pool. Swimming consists of water safety, swim tests,
and recreational swim.
Why
is Young People’s the camp for my child?
Young People’s is a non- traditional day camp.
We do not stay at one campsite every day. A carefully
planned, diversified program is designed to give your
child a wonderful learning experience full of fun,
adventure and creativity. Parents love Young People’s
Day Camp for its value and convenience. Campers may
enroll in 2 –8 week programs, 5 days per week.
What
is included in the cost?
Enrollment includes free door-to-door transportation.
All activities, trips,
(* Except Medieval Times and Bow craft Amusement Park)
insurance, shirts, camp bags, water bottles, awards,
and taxes. A free installment plan may be arranged.
Is
lunch included?
Lunch is not included but is available for an extra
fee.
