Brendan
McCaffrey
Brendan McCaffrey
has been affiliated with Young People's Day Camps since
1995. In that time, he has been the Director of our Staten
Island and Monmouth(NJ) camps. In 2004, Brendan became
the Director of YPDC of Nassau.
Brendan
is a graduate of Canisus College, where he captained the
Men's Varsity Basketball Team for two years. Upon college
graduation, Brendan entered the United States Marine Corps
where he served with distinction as an Officer.
Brendan
holds two Masters Degrees, and is a Social Studies Chairperson
in the North Babylon School District. Brendan utilizes his
athletic background as well as his leadership skills by
coaching Boys Varsity Basketball and Girls Junior varsity
Lacrosse at North Babylon High School. As
the director of YPDC of Nassau, Brendan oversees the day
to day operations of the camp program, and works with
Steve (Assistant Director) year round to plan for the
forthcoming camp season.
Brendan resides in East
Islip with his wife Michele and their new born son Brendan.
Steve
Restivo
Steve Restivo
is the Assistant Director of YPDC of Nassau, and has been
involved with Young People's since 1988. As the Assistant
Director, Steve is responsible for staff development,
athletics, programming and special events. Over the years,
Steve has been a counselor, Athletic Director, and
Head Counselor. Steve
is a graduate of Providence College, where he played Varsity
Baseball. Steve later attended Stony Brook University
where he received a degree in Physical Therapy. In the
off season, Steve is a Pediatric Physical Therapist with
Nassau BOCES .
Steve
utilizes his extensive athletic background to coach basketball
for the Nassau County Police Athletic League (PAL), Special
Needs Unit, as well as coach an elementary school group
of children in a Suffolk school district.
Steve resides in Port Washington
with his wife, Elaine, whom he met when both were counselors
at--you guessed it; Young People's Day Camp!

Mike
Davidson
As the Director
of YPDC of Suffolk, Mike has been involved with camping
for more than 30 years. Mike is retired from the NYC Board
of Education, where he had a long career as a teacher/administrator.
As the Director, Mike is not only involved in the day to
day operations of the camp, but he spends much if the off
season planning and programming a dynamic calendar of events
for the upcoming camp season. When not involved in camp,
Mike travels and spends lots of time with his twin granddaughters,
whom, of course, attend YOUNG PEOPLE’S DAY CAMP OF
SUFFOLK!!
