Open House & Camper Reunion

Happy Holidays

On behalf of the staff at Young People’s Day Camp of Nassau County, Steve, Dave, Michele and I would like to wish your family happy holidays and a prosperous new year. It is hard to believe that several months have gone by since camp ended. Not one day passes that I don't think about your children and ways to make their camp experience even more enjoyable this upcoming summer!

Our first Camper reunion/open house is scheduled for Saturday, January 21st located at Massapequa Bowl, 4235 Merrick Road from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free bowling and refreshments will be provided for all new and returning campers. This will give you another opportunity to register at last year’s rates. If for some reason you cannot attend, just give me a call at 516 650-1856 or email me at ypdcofnassau@gmail.com.

Remember, registration can always be done over the phone. We will also have several other open house dates throughout the year. Please check our website at YPDC.COM/Nassau for upcoming open house dates and the tentative 2012 summer schedule. Please give my regards to your children and tell them I miss their smiling faces.

Happy Holidays,
Brendan McCaffrey
Camp Director

We Have a New Home!

We are pleased to announce that we have acquired a new camp site. Our new home base is a beautiful school called Whispering Pines, which is situated on 15 acres of land, and is equiped with an indoor gymnasium, air conditioned classrooms, lush fields, and a playground. Whispering Pines is located on, and set back from, Jericho Turnpike in Old Westbury. Our swim program will still operate out of both Wantagh and Cantiaque Parks. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at (516) 650-1856.
