Get Ready To Have Fun! – 38th Anniversary Summer!
I would like to wish a Happy Passover and Easter to everyone. As we enter our 38th Anniversary summer at Young People’s Day Camp I am as excited as ever. We are constantly working hard to provide you and your children with great and memorable summers. In order for us to accomplish that we have added several new trips in conjunction with some of our more enjoyable ones of the years past. We will go to the Turtle Back Zoo, Newark Museum, and back to the Statue of Liberty.
We also try and provide your children with excellent staff members. These counselors at camp turn out to be the reason that many campers come back year after year. They are all excellent role models and many of them have the goal in becoming a teacher and working with children for the rest of their life. We have many applicants to choose from, so we feel that the best are chosen year after year with some returning just like campers.
I myself know what is like to want to return to camp. Many of you do not know that I was camper at this very same camp some 30 years ago. I worked here as a counselor and an Assistant Director. When my baseball career was complete, I chose to return to the place that made my summers a child so great. Summers are meant to be fun and we as adults often look back at remember how great those days were. I am trying to provide that every year for your children along with my own. They too love going to camp and are constantly asking when school is over so camp will begin. I always tell them the same thing…..not soon enough.
I would like to introduce our RAC program at Young People’s. Refer a camper program. All you have to do is refer one new camper for 8 weeks and receive one week free. Refer 8 new people for 8 weeks each and go to camp for free for the entire summer. This is a great way to save in the current economic environment.
I will be in touch soon with everybody about the upcoming summer of 2010, but until then have a great spring and a great rest of the school year. I have an “open door policy” so please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best Regards,
Keith
